The Art Cooperative:
The joy of creating, the pleasure of supporting<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

The unique initiative of an Art Cooperative was created in 2014.

The basic idea is that a person who is interested in the arts and my work in particular, provides resources that are not directly used in his or her own life, for the benefit of the  advancement of my work. The money invested is matched by the value of the sculptures I have created with the help of that money.

In the past 10 years, a group of about 26 investors, or ‘participants in my work’, has formed. Thanks in part to this ‘Art Cooperative’, I have been able to participate in various (foreign) exhibitions and projects and I have also been able to continue creating during the Covid years.

Since the beginning of this year, I have worked with composer Jessie Ehlhart and entrepreneur \/innovator Reinoud van Bemmelen on the realisation of an official cooperative enterprise that seeks to bring together people who make art as well as private individuals and companies who would like to financially support it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

‘The Art Cooperative’ has now become a fact! This has created an artistic activity of a completely new kind. An organization of talent and resources to facilitate the arts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Art Cooperative is a partnership between active creative artists and financial supporters that helps artists to create, execute and organize works of art and art projects. A community of talent and resources to facilitate the arts, which is distinguished from crowdfunding or a foundation by the lasting connection between makers and donors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The initiators of De Art Cooperative would like to give more publicity to this form of socially innovative entrepreneurship and thus allow it to grow. To inspire more artists who will participate in this community and to find more people or companies who want to contribute to the creation of visual work, music or dance (performances). It is about doing business together and learning from each other. In this way we create and maintain a livelihood for artists together.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
